THE MAGISTER

The Master is a international postgraduate university training program promoted by the Finis Terrae University, the Francisco de Vitoria University, the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum (Rome), the Anahuac University Mexico and the Society of Apostolic Life Lay Consecrated Men of Regnum Christi, with the collaboration with the Association for the Study of the Social Doctrine of the Church (AEDOS), the association “Cristianos en Democracia” and the association “Acción Social Business” (ASE).

Seeks to form Christian apostles for today's world, capable of integrate faith & life at the various areas from the company national e international. Reflection and life because «the social thinking of the Iglesia is and propositive, orients a transforming action, and in this sense, it is The meaning is a sign of hope that springs from the loving heart of Jesus Christ» (Pope Francisco, Evangelii gaudium, 183).

The entire program is conceived as aDialogue between faith and reason with the intentional focus on the evangelization of temporal realities, is say, the transformation Christian from the areas from the social life.

The Master rigorously presents the fundamental contents, as follows as well as numerous practical applications of the Social Doctrine of the Church (SDC). at the various areas from the life social, at a program that aspire . be rigorous, updated, complete & with a decided practical orientation.

The teachers are doctors or specialists of up to ten nationalities. from from various universities private & public from different countries.

Cargo academic: 60 credits (SCT-Chile / ECTS-Europe)

Duration: 2 years, with dedication partial from student.

Modality: A distance, by videoconferencing.

  • Module Common mandatory: 20 credits
  • A itinerary optional for choose: 28 credits 

The student choose one from the three itineraries optional, yes may well enroll some subjects from the other itineraries for build personally the specialization itself, and you can also opt for a Course optional from Didactics of the Doctrine Social from the Church.

  • Job from End from Magister: 12 credits
  • The Common Module It exposes the anthropological, theological and historical foundations, the principles, values and methodology of the DSI, the whole theoretical and applied set of DSI orientations for the evangelization of social life, which will be developed in the different elective cycles and in the final research work of the TFM. 
  • Person and environment is a strongly anthropological field, focusing on the person and his dignity and on the areas that affect him most directly: family, bioethics, culture, ecology. 
  • Social role of private initiative stresses that the person is principle and subject of social life in various spheres of society, studying how the voluntary, singular and communitarian contribution of individuals builds and humanizes social life.
  • Public administration and international society stresses that the person is subject and end of social life, studying the responsibility and commitment to the common good of the people who have the duty to manage public goods at the service of all and of each one.

The first edition opens in September 2022.

Under the direction of Dr. Emilio Martínez Albesa, Professor of the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum.

Graduate competencies

  1. Develops theoretical and applied research on the Social Doctrine of the Church. 
  2. Develops processes of research, study and analysis that contribute to the reflection and/or resolution of social problems, applying the methodology of the Social Doctrine of the Church in dialogue with the corresponding scientific disciplines. 
  3. Elaborates diagnoses based on the diverse economic, social, political and cultural contexts from the criteria of discernment of the Social Doctrine of the Church.
  4. It generates projects or initiatives of innovative action in favor of the common good, respecting the dignity of people for an integral sustainable development, with the methodology of the Social Doctrine of the Church.
  5. Designs socio-cultural interventions, with an interdisciplinary approach, based on the Social Doctrine of the Church for the integration of faith-life, faith-culture, as a construction of experiences, knowledge, and processes of social improvement.
  6. Incorporates the criteria of the Social Doctrine of the Church in its decision making, aware of its social responsibility.
