On August 20, the following Annual Meetings for Local Directors of the Mexico and Central America Territory, together with Annual Training for local secretaries.
These meetings were organized by the new Territorial Apostolate Leader, Bernardo Pérez, and his team, aim to update and train local directors, as well as to transmit the vision of the territory for the next 3 years: “We will be a Regnum Christi going out to conquer the new generations for Christ”.” (Plan 20-23). In this sense, the meetings followed the theme of the 3 new strategic lines of the territory:
- Forming young apostles for young people
- Forming married couples who are apostles for their children
- Promote work in favor of life and the family in the localities.
The following participated as special guests Mauricio Artieda (director of Catholic-Link) with a talk on “youth formation in today's world”, Jorge Traslosheros (Researcher at UNAM) with the talk “The signs of the times and the challenges of today's Church” and "The Church of today". Mario Romo (Director of Red Familia) with the talk “Life and Family”. In addition to the presentations, the participants were able to have a question and answer session with each of them, which greatly enriched the vision of the directors.
In addition to these interventions, the directors and secretaries had other work and training sessions. Some of the topics discussed were: work with couples, work with the local Church, safe environments, local economy, effective meetings, annual operating program, local archives, among others. There were also moments of prayer such as the Eucharistic Hour on Thursday preached by the P. Rafael Pacaníns, L.C., local director of CDMX Poniente.
Finally, the directors and secretaries had the opportunity to close these meetings with the participation of the Territorial Board of Directors composed of the following members Lorenza Sanromán, José Mateos and Fr. Alberto Simán, L.C. In addition to the conclusions and reflections they shared, they also had a question and answer session with the participants to finalize the vision and thrust of the Movement's mission for the coming years.
During these days of work and prayer, the following were experienced a strong mystique and family atmosphere Regnum Christi As Aracely Morales, the new local director of Tapachula, commented: «It was a very enriching and happy experience, to see us all together, responding to this call. It was like unraveling the phrase of the gospel where it says: “I stand at the door and knock” (Rev. 3:20)».
