With five sessions taught by Luly, with extensive experience in education and spirituality, you will discover practical tools and reflections that will transform the way you live.
In our constant pursuit of happiness, we recognize that we were created for be happy. However, what really is the «happiness»? Can we pursue it directly or is it the result of other actions?
As followers of Jesus Christ, we know that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He Himself is our path to the fullness of happiness. There is no other way.
Despite advances in the sciences, technology, arts and humanities, we continue to face the same questions asked by all generations.
The camong retiros Our Lady of Bethesda offers the online course «Become a Beacon of Hope - Searching and Finding Meaning in our Everyday Lives.» (Become a beacon of hope and find meaning in everyday life) which addresses the subject of the «happiness» & of the «meaning of life» from the human sciences, framed both in a Catholic perspective. This five-session course will be taught live. using the platform Zoom on March 4 and 11, 2025. For those who cannot attend live may tener access to the recordings. Each session will include support material, practical exercises and additional resources.

Who is Luly Fernandez?
Maria Lourdes Fernandez, a native of Monterrey, Mexico, is consecrated of the Regnum Christi and holds a bachelor's degree in business administration, a master's degree in education from Providence College, a doctorate in education from Capella University and a diploma in educational management and leadership from Harvard University.
In her 31 years of consecrated life, Luly has served in various apostolates such as being principal and president of Mater Ecclesiae College in Rhode Island, Territorial Director in North America in 2011, General Councilor of the Society of Apostolic Life Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi from 2011 to 2014, Vice Director in the LeChâtelard Academy, for eight years.
She currently lives in Washington D.C. (USA), where she develops her pastoral work with women and families. She offers talks and retreats at Our Lady of Bethesda Retreat Center and in local parishes, coordinates pilgrimages and facilitates meetings for couples who wish to deepen their understanding of the sacrament of marriage. In addition, she is a member of the board of directors of Divine Mercy University, the university in the United States which is part of the Regnum Christi International University Network.
