Regnum Christi University Network elects a new Council for 2021-2023

The 14 leaders of the International Network of Regnum Christi Universities (RIU) met at the headquarters of the Regnum Christi International University Network (RIU). Anahuac University Oaxaca, to elect a new Council for the 2021-2023 biennium. The RIU's common mission is to create synergies in favor of evangelization and the formation of people of integrity who put their talents at the service of others, thereby impacting society and contributing to the construction of a better world. To this end, the university rectors are working along seven strategic lines:

  1. Catholic identity
  2. Rethinking
  3. Accompaniment
  4. Comprehensive training
  5. Research
  6. Internationalization
  7. Pastoral

RIU is a collaborative organization formed by 14 Regnum Christi universities, among them the Anahuac University Network, with eight universities in Mexico, the Francisco de Vitoria University in Spain, the University Finis Terrae in Chile, the European University of Rome and the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Italy, and the Divine Mercy University in the United States. In addition to these, the John Paul II Pontifical Theological Institute for Marriage and the Family based in Mexico.

At this meeting, the selection process for the new Board of Directors was carried out, which will be integrated as follows:

- Chairman: José Mata Temoltzin, Rector, Universidad Anáhuac Puebla (Mexico)
- Vice President: Cristian Nazer Astorga, Rector of the University. Finis Terrae (Chile)
- Councilor: Fr. José Enrique Oyarzún, Rector of the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum (Italy)
- Executive Secretary: Mtro. Eduardo Sanchez Mejorada
- Technical Secretary: Carmen María Rojo Martínez
