Rogelio Mendiola Moreno, who was a member of the office of the Territorial Administration of Regnum Christi of Mexico and Central America, passed away on June 25.
“Roger He collaborated with us for more than 20 years and in addition to his work he gave us the gift of his joy in organizing Masses and events, he shared his fervor for the Virgin and always filled our office with flowers,” reads an e-mail sent to us announcing the news.
Roger, as he was known, was a man who lived to promote the life of prayer, sacramental and charity in the offices in which he participated. He organized missions for professionals and in December he collected clothes, blankets and toys to deliver personally to the poorest of the poor in some towns and neighborhoods.
He gave testimony as a responsible collaborator in his work, and in the palpable living out of his Catholic faith. As a personal commitment, he took care of two nephews, whom he helped to get ahead in their studies. He also took care of his mother and father.
At the end of March of this year, his mother died, peacefully and at home. In June, unfortunately, he contracted COVID-19, which was complicated by his diabetes and he had to be hospitalized. His father was also infected and unfortunately passed away a few days ago.
His life witness, his work and the love he gave to his family, to the most needy people, in his work with the territorial administration and in Regnum Christi, invites us to reflect on the good, sometimes so quiet, that a member of Regnum Christi does with his witness, with his authentic closeness. This environment nourished and motivated Rogelio to do good in silence and humility.
We hereby express our condolences to his other family members, accompany them with our prayers and pray to God for the eternal rest of Rogelio and his parents, may he rest in peace!
