On Thursday, June 2, 21 couples gathered at the Orizaba location of Regnum Christi for the seventh session of the workshop “Parent Leaders, Successful Families”.
The session was led by Fr. Juan Antonio Torres LC, local director of Regnum Christi and the central theme was values: “The main purpose of values is to become principles that guide our behavior and decisions. They exercise the function of a map”, mentioned Father Torres during the activity.
The married couples discussed among themselves what values they want to instill in their children. Fr. Torres added: “There are two categories of maps in our head: the map of the way things are (knowledge); and the map of the way we should act towards those things (values)”. He also explained to the participants that every human being needs love, respect and freedom and that all values will emerge from love, dignity and freedom.
“Values are those principles of behavior that correspond to the dignity of the human person.”.
The dynamics proposed for this workshop include two afternoon sessions with the husbands, while the rest of the sessions will be in the morning and are aimed at local ladies.
The previous morning sessions were given by Ma. de los Ángeles Navarrete and Fr. Juan Antonio Olmos, LC.
