United in prayer for the health of Pope Francis

On February 27th, the General Board of Directors of the Regnum Christi, together with the lay people who assist him, has senddo a letter to all los members from Regnum Christi family for order for the health of Pope Francis, who has been hospitalized for 14 days in the hospital Gemelli. In the letter, in addition to expressesr the closeness to the Holy Father, to his testimony of dedication, hope and love for God and for the the others. It is also noted that la news agency Zenit is submitting a report daily to everyone on the state of the Holy Father's health.

«In the spirit of family, we join the whole Church in accompanying Pope Francis with our prayers in this moment of fragile health.», notes the text. Likewise, to highlights the response of people around the world and, in particular, to the, who are present in Rome praying in St. Peter's Square in a gesture of faith and unity. The members of the Regnum Christi have also participated in various prayer initiatives to express their love for the Pope.

In the letter, the invites to three specific actions: «Ask God for your health with the confidence that Jesus Christ teaches us.», remembering that prayer is the bridge that unites us to God and to others; «offering our difficulties and sufferings for the Holy Father», for no suffering is in vain when it is united to the cross of Christ and «medit in the virtue of hope».

Finally, the letter concludes with an invitation to entrust Pope Francis to the Virgin Mary, «Mother of hope, to sustain him with her tenderness and strength». At the Regnum Christi reaffirmsmos our love for the Church and our commitment to spiritually accompany the Holy Father in this time of trial.
