After three weeks of work, shared listening and communal discernment, the delegates of the III Ordinary General Assembly of the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi How to project the charism towards the horizon? What concrete options allow us to live evangelical poverty today, to strengthen sustainability, to care for ongoing formation and to respond with apostolic creativity to the challenges of the Church and the world? These and other questions have accompanied the journey of reflection that in these days has also included the election of the Director General.

As an expression of this shared discernment, the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi re-elected Nancy Nohrden as Director General for the period 2026-2032. The decision expresses renewed confidence in her service of authority and gratitude for the path she has traveled during the previous six-year term.

During her first period as Director General, Nancy Nohrden accompanied the life of the Society with a close style, favoring significant processes of growth, co-responsibility and institutional consolidation. During these years, fundamental orientations were consolidated and the foundations were laid for the development of the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi, in harmony with the shared mission of the Federation.

This new six-year period will be a time of continuity and deepening. The Director General will continue to promote fidelity to the charism, communion in the Federation and an apostolic response committed to contemporary challenges, in dialogue with the Church and the reality of today's world.

Brief biographical sketch of Nancy Nohrden

Nancy Nohrden was born on February 4, 1974 in Bellevue, near Seattle, Washington, USA. She grew up in Southern California and did her undergraduate studies in Massachusetts. She went on to earn a B.A. in Philosophy from Franciscan University of Steubenville and worked at a law firm.

He was consecrated in 1998, at the age of 24. After completing his initial formation, he carried out his first vocation promotion apostolate in Germany for five years. Between 2007 and 2011, he worked with young Regnum Christi lay people in Saint Louis, Missouri.

In 2011 she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, as director of formation at Pinecrest Academy and in 2012 she was named director of the community of consecrated women in that city. On November 25, 2012, she assumed the position of territorial director of consecrated women in North America and served on the Regnum Christi Territorial Committee from 2014-2019. Since September 15, 2019, she has been vice president of the territorial board of directors of the Regnum Christi Federation.

In 2020, she was elected Director General of the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi and a member of the General Board of Directors of the Federation, a body whose presidency she assumed in May 2025. During her term in office, she completed a master's degree in Strategic Communication and Leadership at Spring Arbor University. On February 2, 2026, she was re-elected as Director General for the six-year term 2026-2032.
